Meiser Gitterroste in Limbach

The year 1956 is entered in the certificate of incorporation of the Meiser family company based in Schmelz-Limbach in Saarland. The birthday cake for the leading manufacturer of gratings must have been very impressive this year with its 55 candles. Just as impressive were the investment measures undertaken as part of the conversion and expansion programme “MEISER in Limbach 2011” with a total volume of 40 million euro.

After the initial step of erecting several new halls including machine technology had been undertaken, in the year 2011 an investment was made in a ultra-modern batch galvanizing plant including a logistics centre on 24,000 sqm. For Scheffer Krantechnik, the perfect integration of the planned transport technology into the complex manufacturing process was both a task and a challenge. The ultra-modern, fully- automatic galvanization line processes a total of 200 tons of galvanized gratings a day, in a 3-cycle shift with up to 8 dip operations per hour, which makes them one of the high-performance plants in the sector.
